Shifter Adjustment
I was starting the car in its winter storage location and after it was running I went to exit the vehicle and noticed that when I took my foot off the clutch the enine loaded and the car crept forward. The car was in neutral....sounds to me like the trans/shifter needs adjustment to be completely in neutral...i know how to accomplish this on a Hurst shifter but I am not familiar with the factory setup. 65 coupe 327/4speed (sorry but I am a recently converted ford guy so bear with my learning curve.

Re: Shifter Adjustment (65vette327)
May not have gotten a good "link" when you shifted it out of neutral when parked. I would recommend jacking the car up and manually moving the shifter arms to neutral. Then you can at least drive the car and see if its a real problem or isolated one. Have had to do this with my Hurst until set up right. Not sure how to set up stock shifter, haven't seen mine in years.
