POR-15 questions
The POR-15 is very thin and applies easily, however the chassis black topcoat is very thick. Is the usual consistency for the chassis black thicker than POR-15?
Should I allow the POR-15 to fully cure before applying the chassis black or apply when POR-15 is slightly tacky with slight finger drag?
Does the POR-15 need to be sanded prior to chassis black topcoat?
I searched the POR-15 website and could not locate the answers.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I believe you can thin the por-15 topcoat with the solvent. I emailed por-15 with the same question about curing. I was told to do it after dry but within 36 hours when it is fully cured. If you wait longer, scuf the surface with 600 grit sandpaper to give the topcoat something to grip to. You also can give the por-15 a dusting with spray paint or primer before it cures before using the topcoat.

You can let it dry... or you can hit it when it is slightly tacky. I did my frame the same way and I did it when it was just slightly tacky... almost dry! You can also use regular black paint to top it... I have seen good results on this as well. Hope this helps... :seeya

I didn't use the chassis coat. I used the semigloss black topcoat. It was somewhat, but not too much thicker...especially after I thinned it. It did notice that it didn't cover as well with a brush and would streak. I will probably scuff the topcoat and try again to get better coverage.
