yes, that is the infamous "tank sticker." Yours looks to be in pretty good shape.
I have mine, but about a 4" diameter piece in the middle is still stuck to my tank. :cuss

No, it was not too bad. You need to remove the rear exhaust system, the spare tire carrier and drain the fuel for easy access. Also, disconnect the vapor vent, feed and return hoses.
The tank was held together by a bottom support bar (4 nuts, 9/16") and 2 straps (2 bolts, 1/2").
I'm going to coat the tank with the Eastwood tank sealer kit.
