Isn't $1,000 too much to install rubber body mounts on my '71
I was quoted a price of at least 1,000 to replace my stock aluminum body mounts w/ rubber mounts. I thought that sounded like too much. Am I wrong about that?

From what I hear is involved, $1k is cheap. If you are going to pay anyone any amount of money to do that job make sure they understand you will expect it to come out PERFECT before you accept the work.
Or, do it yourself and be happy with your results and the $1k thats still in your pocket.

There is a TON of work involved in that job. Especially if they run into a bolt, or two, or four, or six that are rusted in place. Makes it very slow going if that happens. $1000 is probably a fair price. I'm too cheap to pay that much, but it's probably a fair price for the work involved.
