spring in ignition lock?
Hi,
the problem I'm experiencing with my '77 is this:
when I turn the key from the ''run'' position to the ''start'' position, the lock won't return by itself when I let it go. Does anyone know if the spring that takes care of this is in the lock itself or not?
If it's in the lock I'm lucky, it needs replaced anyway.
If not, where is it? I noticed a funny shaped spring that presses the steering lock pin in the plate with holes, but I don't know if this spring has more purposes?
Has anybody experienced the same problem and found out what caused it? If so, any idea where I can order the spring?
Thanks a lot in advance, Sonny

Re: spring in ignition lock? (CandyRed77)
the spring is in the ignition switch located on top of the steering column near the firewall. New ones are readily availble. I have a new one for you if you want it.
