spark plugs (74 L82)hot or not?
Tunning up my 74 have had trouble with plugs fouling and engine missing. Should I put in a hotter plug, platnum or regular.

All too often hotter plugs are used to correct an improperly adjusted carburetor. Sounds like your carburetor needs adjusted (what carburetor are you running?).
As for plugs. I'm not a big fan of platinum plugs, you just can't "read" them the same way you can a regular plug. I'm running AC Delco R45 plugs in my big block. The stock heat range for a '66 Corvette (what year my heads are from) was a R43. You can try a hotter plug it may/may not help much it really sounds like your problem lies in your carburetor.
