Default HELP, I can not get the WSW to wash

1969 Corvette.

Had my wiper motor rebuilt a couple of years ago and am just now getting around to make sure it all works.

Well it wipes high speed and low and parks ok. But the water pump does not pump. (I even opened it up to see if the plunger goes back and forth. It does not.) Now I looked at the Service Manuel for an hour straight and can not make heads or tells of how the pump activates let alone how the head light washers work. So what I am looking for is a clue to how to trouble shoot the problem and how to make sure the electrical works before I go and pull the wiper motor back off the car.

SO the questions; how does the pump know when to pump? What wires are hot and when?

Thanks in advance,
