Headlight Washers
Just curious, did all 1970 corvettes come with head light washers and why exactly did they need them. I see some of the luxury cars have them with little tiny wiper blades and always thought that was rather silly.
On the corvette though it is AWESOME. Just thought I would ask.

Cool.... i never knew there was such a thing on any C3. What about fiber optic headlight moniters? Which year vette has those? Its a fiber optic line that runs from the headlight to the interrior panel to tell you when yur headlight is out.

Re: Headlight Washers (Eddie 70)
It was a pretty inovative feature. They deleated the option in early 71. My car has the washer line going to the front of the car but it's not connected to anything at either end. I removed it because I though it was a mistake but learned they were part of the vacuum line bundle so I put it back. :D
The fiber optic feature ended late 71.

Fiber optics were used from 68-71. One reason GM gave for removing the fiber optics after 71 was to make the factory theft alarm system standard equipment.
I have driven my 70 since new. Even when it was new I rarely used the windshield/headlamp washer function.
I do like the monitoring of the light system with the fiber optics.

Re: Headlight Washers (Graemeinvette)
I cannot find mine!
Graemeinvette, raise your headlights and walk up there and look. You will see a little silver nozzle between the lights. This is the squirter. Mine doesn`t work either. Actually when I got my car, the squirter was connected to the bleed screw on the master cylinder.
