I have one. I can't say that I've used it, but I sleep better knowing it's there.
I think it's money well spent. These cars aren't getting any younger, and the wiring isn't getting any better. And I've read one too many stories about cars on fire.
I've also got one in the wife's C4. VetteWorksOnline is a forum member - do yourself a favor and get one.

Well, I've never used it (and hope I never have to), but I do have one installed. I went for the most expensive one, chrome with Halotron. The bracket is easy to mount and there are no permanent mods. Relatively cheap insurance if you ask me, and it looks good also. It looks black in this picture, but it is chrome.

Does the pricing on the fire extinguishers include the bracket, I'm assuming not. Anyone know if the Halon type can be recharged? I tried these questions on the comments page of the website several times today with error when sending out the question. Thanks for any help.

Yes, the pricing does include the bracket and hardware. I'm not sure about recharging though.

Lee,
The Halotron and Dry-Chems can be recharged, Amerex is an excellent product. If you had a red dry-chem ($25) it probably wouldn't be worth recharging...although I don't know the cost to recharge either but I assume it would be better to do so locally. You can buy the extinguisher and bracket together, or separate. Halotron is the smarter way to go I think, it leaves no residue in/on your car, the dry-chem yellow powder is a real pain to clean up and gets into everything...just ask the ricer kid across the street from me

I have recently changed the web page so the brackets and the fire extinguishers are sold seperate. (tring to speed up the web pages) The prices are still the same as they were when they were sold as kits. All the Amerex extinguishers I sell are rechargeable. I am currently having problems with the "comment page" Damm Microsoft!!!!
