Default Body Work Question

As some of you know, I'm giving my '75 a paint job.

The project reached a momentous point yesterday when I reinstalled the hood. But when I reinstalled it, I nicked   the hood causing a chip (~1" long) of my sealers and primer to come off. :( I was so excited to get the hood back on that I overlooked taping all edges. :banghead:

So, should I sand it to blend it in with the rest of the hood? Or should I attempt to use a tiny bit of filler to build it up?

Thanks for the help.

Default Re: Body Work Question (VolVette)

If it is just primer that chipped off I would featheredge the area and reprimer the spot. If it got into the glass you may have to add some filler. Hopefully others will learn from your small mistake to protect the edges with tape. Good Luck, Craig
