Anyone running Yokohama Avid S/T Tires ?
My radial T/A's are on their last leg. If I get caught in the rain with them I am going to be in a world of hurt. I was checking Tirerack.com and they have three options for a 245/60/15. I see the Yokohama Avid S/T tires are $54 a piece, is anyone out there running these ? Did you mount white letter out or blackwall out ? have pics ?

I don't have them on my C3, but I do have the 60 series Avids on my Daughter's Bonneville. In fact, it's the third set of Yokohama's for that car. They ride great and last forever. My C3 only has 12,000 miles on the Goodyears that are on it in the same amount of time the Bonneville (105,000 miles) has had two sets of Yokohamas and is now the nearly new third set.

I was looking at the same tire, same size too.
I have to get new tires in two months for state inspection.
If you get them, I'd appreciate a follow-up.

I bought some last spring
235 60 15
they are a great tire for the pirce and if you check the tire rack they rate them quite high especialy on wet pavment which is a bonus where I live.
Now that I have them I love them quiet and they realy hold in the corners compared to my 6 year old ta's. and I can't tell you how many coments I have gotten about the tread pattern.
If you get them you won't be dissipointed

I bought the Avid S/Ts a few months ago after researching quite a bit. I expected a decrease in grip compared to the Bridgestone Potenzas(better speed rating) that they replaced. I was wrong- I love these tires. My handling is actually better! Absolutely no regrets here  I put the white letters out but that's really just about personal preference.

I have the 225-70-15s. Nice tires for the price. Definitely good in damp/wet conditions. I have the black walls out on alloys. Not the tires in my sig.

I'm running 255 60r15s rear and 225 70r15s front, going to 255s in the front when these ones die, but they don't seem to being going anywhere fast! Took them autocrossing last week and they were very great. I'm not a tire expert, but I've only heard the best about these. There's better tires out there I'm sure, but for this kindof bargain price? Hell no!

Edit: I tried to upload my pictures I just had developed and put on CD, but apparently my parents can't afford to get themselves a $20 CD drive, I'll post 'em when I get back to school next week! White letter out on alloys of course
