Default Pulled my engine...woohoo!

Well I took the first step in the project for my car: Pulling the engine. Took all day today, but it is out with the radiator, exhaust, and tranny.

Now the real work begins. What I thought were aftermarket heads this whole time prove to be stock....big disappointment :(

So I guess for the engine I have to install TPI, put on new heads, roller rockers, and diff cam. Yea!
:)

Couldn't you have done that with the engine in?

Sch...I have alot of other stuff to do as well with it out...that was engine specific items.

Scott...lol...I really had a blast. My friend didn't as much it seems (he is use to pulling his racing engine in his sprint car in under 20 minutes), but we both enjoyed working together.

Now the quest for parts begins!!! Which heads would you reccommend, btw?

Thats great joe,its fun tearing into it for the first time you never know what you got till its all apart,if your looking for a cheaper alternative a set of vortec heads or world products torquer,if you want to go big money then air flow research.

desert...oh yeah! :)

Pat...I wouldn't mind going aluminum, but prob will use iron of some type due to price. I wasn't planning on this expense and it'll skew the entire plan I had for the car because of it. I'm looking on ebay right now and the guy who helped me pull the engine is looking into it with his connections as well.

Joe

You do not need full roller rockers- just get roller tips. Rec. spend the money on something that helps.
