Our area's Corvette ralley on My Classic Car tommorrow (Sunday, march 16)
Tommorrow morning, (Sunday, March 16th) the Black Hills Corvette Classic, which is held every July right here in good old South Dakota, is going to be featured on My Classic Car. It is on SPEED channel tommorrow morning at 10:30 AM eastern time, 9:30 AM central time. I was there, and watched the filming because a friend of mine, and a member of the Corvette Forum, was featured as a feature car during the filming. It's worth watching just to see his SWEET!!! C5 and how he brought it back from the dead, changed it from a coupe that was run over by a payloader into a vert show winner. Plus the event coverage should be great to see as well. I encourage everybody to tune in and check it out. Tommorrow morning, 9:30 central, 10:30 eastern on SPEED.
And another TV note, the C5R's are running first and second at Sebring in their class right now. :auto:

Maybe it'll be on TNN or some other station that carries My Classic Car.
The 12 hours of Sebring just wrapped up and O'Connell/Fellows got first place in GTS. :hurray: :hurray: :steering: Now we have got to do something with those Porsches in GT and get a Corvette in front of that class. :yesnod:

I will attempt to record the show on the computer and anyone who wants it. I imagine it will be big though. Just to confirm it is on at 10:30 EST? My Classic Car?

Thanks for the heads up!! Great show! Great coverage!! :)
 I am amazed that you guys are able to get 400++ vettes to South Dakota. I would love to go but I dont think I could make the trip.
What I like about your friend's C5 is that he finished the conversion that was started when the car was in a serious accident which sheared the top off the C5  He saved it from the junkyard. :) MJ

We really do have a great event here in SD. The best part is probably the drive from Sioux Falls to Spearfish, (that's like 800 miles you know...from eastern border to western border  ) and it is with probably 90% of the cars that attend the event. Nothing like taking an 800 mile cruise on the interstate with 400 other vettes. :yesnod: Check out the website, it's a really good time. http://www.blackhillscorvetteclassic.com
I thought the show was pretty good. There are a whole lot more events that they didn't mention on the show, but they do have limited time. I recorded it to keep with my photo albums. :D
Pat's C5 is far more impressive when you see the entire photo album and spend some time talking with him about the car. He's a real Corvette guy. His wife and he also have a C4 and a C3. But, the things he did with that C5 are just beautiful. Once you see the details he went into like filling all of the body seams, and ground effect to the body seams, how he made a lot of the fiberglass parts himself by hand, the polished stainless steel work under the hood, it's all real nice.
Again, I encourage everybody to check out the website to see what the event is really about, and if you're near, (or not, there's a lot of Californians, Nevada, met somebody from Maine, a couple from Florida, seen an Alaska plate) come on over, enjoy our beautiful state, it's great fun. (It really is nice during the summer, it's the winter that's a little tough)

Seemed like they wanted to show more of that guys personal museum than the Vette show. I would of liked to seen more of the show itself. Either way Dennis Gage is a lucky dude. :nopity
