It was a spring like day today in the northeast so I....
took the car cover off, opened the garage, turned up the tunes, and spent the afternoon detailing the car. :D Before you know it I'll actually be able to take it out for a spin. (too much salt on the roads yet). Here's a pic of the results.

Well geez Jerry, I actually DROVE mine today!! :) Boy did that feel great! Car ran real well after sitting in the garage for.... 2 months? I have to admit tho, during most of the drive I was thinking about washing it, which I did as soon as I got home. MJ
p.s. Is that a spare bedroom you built for your vette?

Looks good.
I had mine out today and it ran great for being couped up for 2 months or so. I can't say I enjoyed the ride though. I was constantly listening for new noises and for sounds of things breaking and falling off.

Re: (1970 Stingray)
Well, with everyone taking their cars out and actually driving them I guess I'll have to at least start mine up tomorrow.;) I did some engine paint touch-up today and wanted it to dry before starting her up.
Hey Mark, I guess you could say my garage is my car's bedroom, it does have it's own pillow......for the plastic window.

He got up to mid-60's today, but I wouldn't have drove my 'Vette even if it was ready. Roads were really nasty. Water, sand, salt.

Re: (1970 Stingray)
Yeah, 1970 Stingray, had my '82 out tonight for a quick dinner-date, and we saw the first 'Stop-Light Nationals' of the season! An '80 Z28, a '78 T/A, and a late-model Z28 pulled behind us out as we drove down the four-lane. One-by-one, they cruised past, giving the 'thumbs-up' or 'salute' to the 'old farts' (US?) in the Corvette. The T/A & late-model Z28 caught the next light, and took off on the green, squealing rubber as they left. The Z28 spanked him GOOD, but the T/A tried again, at the next light a few miles away. Somewhere tonight, a newer Z28 is 2-0 this year already, but, if I'd had MY 12-second '79 Z28 instead of the 15.90 Corvette,.........

Way to much sand and salt on the roads here. I am still chipping ice oput of the driveway. A mild day like this sure gives you the fever. I am getting back to work on my Trailing Arms today.

Ok, so we had an even better day today Sunday so I actually started her up and pulled her out onto the driveway :steering: . Ran great, sounded great, no drips, no runs, no fouls. Now if this weather keeps up and we get a nice rain to wash all the salt away it's "on the road again". :auto: It was just nice to get behind the wheel and listen to that sweet sound of a chevy SB. :chevy

Aww man that is a sweeeeet lookin silver. I love that color. It shades and shows off the body lines like no other color. And what car has better body lines than any other. C3 baby!!!! sometimes when the light hits it just right it looks like two tone paint the way it shades. Really awsome under the lights at night. When I finally decide to paint my car, if I change color, it will be to that pewter silver. Thats what it is right "pewter silver"???

Hey thanks John...they call it Steel Cities Gray and your right, depending on the light it changes color....I happen to like it a lot although I am not sure I would change the color of your car...green is one of my favorites.
Thanks again.
