Ways to get more power and use less gas!
Tune the A/F ratio with an oxygen sensor! i learned this in '98.
i've posted this before, but there a lot of new members that may have missed it... complete details in my sig.
great way to save gas and get more power. Cut my WOT fuel use by 28%! Got so much more power i had to get wider tires!
Check in if you have aready done it. You are a rare ultra-tuner!

Great idea Matt, I will be re-tuning my carb as soon as I put the L-88 hood on with the cowl induction box. I will be putting a 3" spacer in and MM told me that I should gain at both ends (tq lowend and hp high end). I am presently getting 18 mpg at 65 mph. The 383 is a great engine and it is currently putting our 490hp with a fairly mild cam for streetability.

Yes. It isn't very detailed. Please include some pictures and where to get the guage you speak of. Right now it doesn't have much value. Sorry.

Matt,
Did you install a bung on just one side, or did you do both? Did you use a heated O2 sensor?
I have never tested individual ports for a/f. How consistant are they with a production carb'd engine?
Thanks,
Chuck

Guys, there are over 80 pages thru links in my article. But this is technical stuff and you won't become a super-tuner overnite!
Chuck, i test only the lean cyls. now that i have learned how to find them easily. Fuel distribution is awful with a carb. That's one reason that they went out of style. :steering:
