Default Control Arm Rebuild - 101 - Pay a professional.

Picked up my Control arms yesterday from Mike aka(tracdogg2). He did a great job and saved me a good deal of money. I think the guy can rebuild anything to spec or better.

The guy is very knowledgable when it comes to Corvettes and own several. Just thought you guys in Texas might need a local person to help with those speciality projects which require an expert. His email is tracdogg2@attbi.com

How about giving us a price range for comparisons. I am thinking about having mine rebuilt and would like to have an idea of the cost.

I can't post my price because I had a WHOLE lot of stuff done and I don't have the costs itemized that way. I think cost might depend on what you're having done. In my case I had all the bolts replated, the dust shields replated, the T-arms powder coated, new rotors, new E-brake hardware.... and it goes on and on. I also had them overhaul the pumpkin (new seals, didn't need gears or rebuilding), powder coat the half shafts and driveshaft and Xmember.... Basically I took the entire drivetrain and rear suspension out of the car, loaded it up in Greg's pickup and dumped it off at Tony's and said, "Here you go, call me when it's ready!" :jester Well not really, we went over in much detail how I wanted everything done.... :D Anyways, I have mentally blocked the price out of my mind. :auto: And though I save receipts... I don't go there. :steering:

Email Mike for a price. I bought my own bearings, parking brake hardware, and control arm bushings, so my price would be different than a complete rebuild. I do know he is alot less expensive than the major rebuilders.
