Default Muncie

Does anyone have any idea what the thread size is for a 1970 Muncie 4 speed shifter? I ordered a couple of new shifter ***** from Flameball (www.flameball.com), but I don't know what size threads my car has...I "think" it's 9/16-18, but I'm not sure.

Thanks!

While we're on the subject of muncies. I am having a problem with the M-21 in my 69 popping out of 4th gear. I does it when I let off the gas or hit the brakes in 4th. I can hold it in gear and can feel it being forced apon in a pulsing motion. my guess was a bad mount transmission or rear axle, the engine mounts being new so I know they are good. Another theory is just a linkage adjustment. Anybody got any experience with this?
