Where can I purchase a pedal assembly to convert auto to stick?
Hi again. I'm back with another question regarding converting my 1980 auto tranny to a Richmond 6-speed.
I need to get the manual pedal assembly. Is there some place I can order them new, or is the only hope getting one out of a junkyard?
I'd sure like a new one, if anyone can point me in the right direction.
Thanks!

Hey Geoff hows it going. I am building a 73 that was a 4 speed, and I put in an automatic. I have the pedal assembly and the clutch rod and bell crank linkage. I am going to sell it, if you are interested email me or IM me.biggjimm1@bpsinet.com maybe we can work something out. Good luck biggjimm

If I remember correctly an 81 has the same pedal assy as my 71. If that's the case all you need to do is replace the auto brake pedal with a manual brake pedal and find a clutch pedal.
The autos used a pin to allow the brake to pivot. The manuals use a pin on the clutch pedal to pivot the clutch and the brake.
So you shouldn't need an entire assembly. Just the two pedals.

I don't think you can just add another pedal. The 2 assemblies are different and I also don't think the pedals are the same from 71-81. I believe and this is only guessing is that the brake pedal is smaller in the 80 assembly. I know the 75 was the same size clutch and brake pedal but by 80 the brake pedal had shrunk.
A used set is still $200 plus in poor condition and alot more in good condition. I bought a used set and rebuilt it before installation.

This is the best illustration I could find.
