Default Steering column and steering wheel restoration completed

The steering wheel/ column restoration are now complete on my 78SA vette. The color is Saffron.
Many thanks go out to Chuck Pelton who restored my steering wheel and to T&M Steering column repair in Nashville TN who completely rebuilt my tilt/ tele system which I gave to them in a cardboard box. Hey, I tried but had to many projects going on at once. The cost was 250.00 for those interested. One less thing to worry about. New bearings, turn signal assembly and cruise control assembly as well as the lock tumbler all replaced. He media blasted everything and used the Saffron dye I supplied. He owns a 34 delievery sedan with a vette rear end and motor in it.

Chuck Pelton did a awesome job wrapping the steering wheel and in a timley manner to boot.
I hope the rest of my restoration is par with the work done here.
Thanks Guys,
Neil in Tenn

Wow, that looks really awesome. I can look over my right shoulder and see my disassembled T&T column on the carpet behind me...hope to have it looking that nice this summer.

The best of luck to you AC..I started mine and took digital pics all the way but was overwelmed with all my projects here at the end so I farmed some of it out.
78vette-SA,
You car has always been one of my favorites. I have looked over your web site many times. Your car is Sweet!!! My partner here has a metal body 34 ford 5 window, chevy powered he drag races with.

If I didn't leave them in there I would never find them after 3 years. hehehe
Really, those are the new set of keys from the new lock tumbler that was put in. I need to take them out before they scratch up the casing.

Looks great. I could never have the finished column in my house. My 3 year old would insist it be proped up so he could drive the sofa.
