I turned her over yesterday and my holley fuel pump makes an incredibly loud noise - like a boat bilge pump, pumping out the water. I can hear it OVER my open side pipes coming from the passenger-side rear of the car. Doesn't seem normal to me.

Any advice? :confused:

if you are talking about an electric...than i would say normal...i had a Holley Blue and it was LOUD...got rid of it....

I had a Holley electric on my Big block monte carlo - for about 45 minutes - before getting a good mechanical pump and replaced it. those things are way too loud.

Well, at least now I know that's normal for the Holley pumps. Any low cost, reliable recommendations on replacements for it?

Ive had 1 Holley BLue and 2 Holley Black electric p umps....very objectionable especially at idle. I switched to a Mallory and absolutely love it ---- cant hear it run from the cab or outside either. High quality looking and uses a special motor for quietness.

I got the 140 gph model (14 psi) with return style regulator, but they also offer a 90 (?) gph one without regulator too (runs at 7 psi) .

Its normal , thats why i never recommend holley pumps :smash:

It came with the car. I didn't necessarily choose it. I'm looking for any option that would serve the purpose without breaking the bank.

I have a Holley Red pump and I can only hear it when the engine isn't running (key in the on position). My exhaust is WAY to loud to hear much of anything else.
