Quickest check is to see if the car has a rear swaybar installed. Of the approximately 54K 1979s about 23% had FE7 or Gymkahna suspension.
If the rear swaybar is not there, it may only mean that someone removed it during the last 25 years. There are several threads in the archives on the FE7 suspension.
