Best way to clean original tail lenses........
All,
doing the last little bits before re-assembling my '69 coupe (and its going to hit 50 degrees + here in New York this weekend....after more snow tomorrow!)
The lenses for the rear taillamps and the marker lamps front and back are in great condition...they just have 34 years of dirt an polish build up on the raised parts of the "SAE 68" logo etc. Its that "white" residue stuff....anyone have any good ways of leaning this off? Kind of a minor issue...but I polished the stainless trim up quite nice and the white spots stand out and I would like to clean that up as wll.
Cheers,
Nick

I have heard that Mothers Wheel Polish works really good on plastic lenses.
I used it on some plastic parts of my interior, and it really came out great.
Just my .02... :yesnod:

Clean them with a toothbrush and liquid diswasher detergent. Then use 3M Plastic Polish to really make them look great.

I soaked mine overnight in Dawn dish detergent. Then rinsed and dried them. Took 3m plastic polish and buffed them out. They tirned out great.
