Hmm, flex fit is what they call it now? Basically, neither fit very well. Your best option is a GM original which runs over $400, but if that is too much, I'd say get the True-Flex bumpers. Lots of people on the forum have made them work.

I put a flex-fit on my front and had to fill and sand - doesn't really sand like normal f-glass. I'd probably go fibreglass next time. There was such a wide variation in body size that unless you get lucky, expect to spend some time fitting it. I think Norval actually cut his fibreglass bumper in half to extend it's width. Not sure if you could do something that radical with flexfit.

I have a "Tru-Flex" front bumper coming and am hoping it will not be too difficult to install. The manufacturer was up front though and stated that nothing will be a simple "bolt on" and that some filling and sanding will be required. The price was right though...only $200 to my door...well when it gets here!

I needed a new front pumper for my 75 and after hearing all the horror stories about fit I went with the fiberglass. It fit one side fairly close but the other side was about 1/2 inch too narrow. You are stuck with the center line so you can not just shift the pumper.
I cut the pumper in two, bolted it to the car and filled in the gap. Took a little work but now the bumper looks right.
I worried that with a true flex it might not like being cut and refiberglassed back together.
