Exhaust Cut out covers
Has anyone ever heard of exhaust cut out covers for the rear lower filler panel? I have a friend that has a 71 which had side pipes put on and apperantly when the side pipes were installed they put a cover over the original square cut out for the original exhaust. He has lost one of the covers and is looking for a replacement. I never knew or heard about a cover. The only thing that I can find to help him out is a complete rear lower filler panel 70-73 for side exhaust. He lives in Denver and I am in Pennsylvania so I never saw the part he's talking about. Any ideas? :confused:

That's what I would like to know...Maybe they are not made for the 68-69 years? Anyway, I would be most grateful to anyone who could solve this frustrating dilemma :crazy:

The only filler panels I have seen for the 69 are made for cars that came with side pipes from the factory. In fact, I bought one of those panels, but then I realized it would not cover the holes from a car that was made with a rear exiting exhaust.
If you could provide information as to where you bought your filler panel, part number, etc. I would be grateful.

Ecklers has it in there new 2003 Spring/Summer catalog no. 203. Page 231 part number 10238 and thats for 1968-69 Rear Lower Filler Panel (for side Exhaust Installations). Price $149.99 Its a complete replacement panel w/o the exhaust cut outs.
