Ignition Lock install question
If I already have the column out of the car, how long of job is it for me to swap the old iginition lock for a new one? It's a t/t column.

As far as I know, the only way to release the existing lock is to go through the column from above. So you'll have to have the steering wheel off and the turn signal switch at least loose to get to the release pin on the lock.

I changed my ignition, (worn key etc) that can be replaced within minutes. The problem I had was with the turn signal and the 2 return springs which took me at least an hour. The new keys and ignition are worth it! I forgot to position the springs on my 1980 and now I have to manually return the signals, unless I fix it and get back into the stalk. The venom is in the tail of the work!
