Default Spring choices

Stock 70 SB and wondering what composite rear and steel front rates ares best. I want to leave the ride height unchanged. Ecklers and Muskegon Brake have several choices. Any suggestions?

I have to redo my front springs. I am interested in this topic. Previous owner either installed the wrong springs or the springs are not seated in the tower correctly.
The front sits at 32" at the highest point of the wheel opening. This leaves a gap of 3+ inches between the tirel and the edge of the fender!

Vette Brakes Street and Slolom kit that includes 550 lbs/inch front coils and a rear composite monospring (360 lbs.). The coils are shorter than factory for easier installation but result in original ride height and the rear monospring claims to ride and perform better (made by TRW I think) with original ride height as well. Keep in mind you need different shocks for a composit spring to work properly.
*ZIP sells a similar kit and seperate components for less money than Vettte Brakes. :grouphug:

Vette Brakes 550/360 combo here.Didn't notice that much difference in height, though it's been 6-7 years.I did end up with 8" spring bolts on the rear when I went to the 295's to drop the rear down to match the front fender well gap.Ride is rough .If the roads are like around here, you may want to go with the 460lb/330 combo for a better ride.

I got 460 in front and trw340 in rear with bilstien shocks. Incredible handling improvement over stock and just soft enough to not rattle your bones too much. The high end shocks are important with the composite mono leaf rear springs. My standard shocks were good but I noticed a bouncing effect after I added the 340mono. When I added the Bilstiens the bouncing ceased to exist. Good shocks are very important to complete the total package. Dont forget em.

Thanks for the replies, I'll keep them in mind. I'm gonna start ordering the parts soon and get to work as soon as the weather turns as Chicago winters seem to last forever.

I have the VBP 460 coils and 330 composite rear spring.. It's a great combination for the street and good enough for the strip...
