Proper color of power brake booster for a '70?

Yes, the booster should be gloss black in color... Not so glossy that you can see yourself though. The check valve pressed into the front of the booster was installed prior to painting so if originality is an issue, this should be painted as well.

The boosters are normally dated... The date is often visible stamped into one of the retaining tabs.
