Caliper housing torque specs 130lb F 60lb R
My 82 GM shop manual say 130lbs for the front caliper housings and 60lbs for the rear caliper housing torque specs.
Is this a mistake?
It would seems to me that these should have more similar specs as the front and rear calipers are similar. I havent looked at the car to see if the bolt sized are that much different yet. Still too cold out.
The caliper to mounting bracket bolts are 70lbs and this seems like it would be more the range for th etorque spec for the front caliper housings.
Anyone have any experience with this during caliper rebuilds?

Brent,
Those are the correct torque spec's.
I rebuilt the rear calipers last year and the '72 GM manual I used listed 130 ft/lbs for both front and rear. The bolts are different sizes, rears being smaller. I sheared one bolt in half reaching the 100ft/lb mark. I found out afterwards the early manuals didn't have the two rating listed. Installed new gr 8 bolts to 60ft/lbs without a problem.
