Default Thermostat rating ?
Hi
I removed the water thermostat from my 68 big block to check the temp rating of it.
This is what is stamped onto it : 300/400-160
Would this be a 160 F thermostat ?

Yes, that's the opening temp. It is not fully open until about 25 degrees later.
