turning brake rotors on car
Anyone know of a repair shop in the Balt/Wash area that can turn my 73's rotors on car? If its not too expensive I may do it this way. It would cost me $50 to have em turned if I take em off and take em in. In the process of turning on car, im sure they have to remove the wheels but do they also have to remove the calipers and pads? I soon will be replacing the pads and I want all rotors re-surfaced. Anyone have an idea what it would cost to have them turned on car?

Re: turning brake rotors on car (Jvette73)
To cut the rotors on the car you have to remove the wheels and the calipers have to be moved out of the way so the cutter can be installed on the caliper brackets. Then a drive motr is mounted to the hub to turn the rotor while to cutter reserfaces the rotor.
