B&M quicksilver installed
After searching the site to find some info on this I mostly found people who were curious if it could be done with the stock shift plate. Well after about 2 weeks of planning and alot measurements i finally have it in and yes it will work without having to modify the shift plate. It was alittle bit of a pain but worth it. The problems were that the shifter sits to high off the floorboard and doesn't give the clearance for the heater controles and the shift plate so what I did was build box I started with 2"x1/8" angle iron and an 1/8" steel plate. This thing is a little heavy so if your woried about wieght have one made from alluminum. Then I cut a 10"x3" hole in the floor board bolted it down using stiffnersunder neath to keep it tight. I had to make some slight mods to the shifter. I had to cut off some of the top mounting brackets for the b&m crome plate cover, not a big deal since I'm not using that. It came out great it has about 3/4" clearance now in the back and from the heater controls. The only thing I have left to do is adjust the cable and I'll be ready roll. I'll take some pics and post them later on today when I finish up. :smash:

I can't describe how anxious I am to see your pics- I've been looking for months for somebody to come up w/ proof that it can be done w/o butchering the car. Way to go!

Re: B&M quicksilver installed (Glensgages)
I'm going to take pictures tommorow...unfortunatly i was not able to finish today. The shifter comes with a 4' shifter cable its too long for a direct link and to short to make a big enough loop. I hooked it up and it was too tight trying to go through the gears with bends in it. I went to the speed shop and ordered the 2' cable from B&M. Tommorow if gets a little warmer I'm going to glass it in, to cover the hole from the existing shifter(it was a little wider). But I'll post the pics tommorow...Mike

Sorry for the delay with pics. I've been working on the new Phillies stadium and when they want something done money doesn't seem to matter. But its finally over(this week anyway) and I'm going to take the pics tommorow and post them.
