Default Weatherboots. Can They be Dyed?

These are new Fox weatherboots. Hard plastic and a rug material on the bottom. I have doeskin dye. Is this worth trying?

These are my old. They gave me 15 years of service with little colour rub-off. But I do not know how they were finished....

Ed,
As you know, I like to fool about in the C3 world. I will give it a try. No harm done. BTW, the valve covers are going on in several weeks. I am going to post in April on my winter parts acquisitions and the outcome.

I am pleased with the outcome. Three thin layers of doeskin dye and four of Krylon transparent sealant. They look very nice.

Rob,
When I get my car out of storage I will probably use them for day driving and the new for show. But let me think about it. I have ordered three new cans of doeskin dye from MadVet and may refurb them also.
