Default Converting to Dual Exhaust , question about O2 sensor???

I have an 81 vette. My plans are to put on the true dual exhaust system that Mid America offers. I am going with headers as well. I haven't bought the system yet but I was wondering what to do about the oxygen sensor. It looks like I may have to cut the exhaust pipes to line up with the headers because the exhaust goes to high up and the headers come to far down. It looks like the cut may be behind the hole for the oxygen sensor. I am keeping the computer in so I am affraid the check engine light will come on everytime I am in the car if i don't do anything about the oxygen sensor. Does anyone out there have this setup and if so what did you do about the sensor?

I cut a hole in one of my collectors and welded an oxygen sensor fitting on. I don't have a crossover pipe and it works just fine.
