Default I think I found a distributor. Any input??

It's a Mallory # 2648201H, it's a breakerless mechanical drive and the only thing under the cap is the pickup. It was an original dual point, but my dad had it converted to an electronic ignition. This distributor should work in conjunction with a MSD 6AL box correct?

When I upgraded I went with a MSD 6A and a MSD distributor. I looked at Mallory, even got one and returned it, ended up spending a few bucks more and got the MSD tach drive distributor.

To me, it was a good move. It connects together thoughtlessly.

I'm not saying the Mallory won't work, cause I don't know... I don't see why not... but it may take more work than using a MSD dist. with the MSD box.

Good luck.

The mallory will work. I have a mallory unilite with the electronic pickup and it works fine with my msd-6al. The msd only need something to trigger it.

I agree with Norval, It should work fine. I don't think that the Mallory unit you're talking about has vacuum advance though, if that matters to you.
