Default Rochester Carburetor Electrical Question!

Hi guys, there is an electrical connection on the left front side of the carb. I kind of know what it is but that is not the question. I'd like to know what the proper routing of the wire is to this connector as it was from the factory. Right now it just lays between the valve cover and intake manifold. Kind of looks like a "Bubba wire" just laying there. I want to make sure it is just like the showroom appearance it had once. Some guidance, a picture, or recommendation, would be nice. Thank you folks!

There are two possibilities. The first is... If you have an Automatic, there is a kickdown switch for wide open throttle downshift. Also there may be a curb ilde solenoid and or an A/C step up. Yo may have any or all of those depending on what options you have.
