Default Poly or Rubber T-arm and Strut Bushings

I need to replace these bushings. Does it pay to spend the extra money on poly bushings for these areas? I was told it didn't pay to put them on the t-arms.. Thoughts? What have people done?

The upside to poly is that it will last a heck of alot longer than rubber. People who usually purchase poly from us are the guys who like to get on the car a lot or race. 80% of our rebuilds are rubber. Either up front or in the rear. -Dan

I pulled my trailing arms thinking one of the bushings had failed. I assume they were the original factory rubber bushings, and they were fine. I installed poly - don't tell my NCRS friends, I'm gonna judge soon.

I've heard that poly bushes squeek a lot - could this be due to a lack of lubricant? I'm thinking of replacing mine too.

I did poly on my 73. Lube them up really well and life will be good to you.

I did poly because I don't ever want to have to do this ever again. My mom was the original owner of my 73, it will remain in my family forever... I don't want to have to worry about that job ever again. Poly last much longer. :yesnod:

Good luck.

Poly in the t-arms is one of the best suspension upgrades you can make. Really improves cornering. :chevy
