Anyone have experience in this? Are they measured off the centerline.I just went to poly bushings which are wider than the rubber so i have no benchmark.

I do all my own alignments and use a laser level to project the back rotors onto the front. Laser levels are only in the $30 dollar range , are very accurate and can be used to project the rear alignment onto the front hub.
I make final adjustment when checking toe.
I have a 6 link suspension so once the alignment with shims is very close the upper and lower strut rods are turned for small adjustments.

When I rebuilt my vette I also had no baseline due to rusted shims and all new suspension any way. I just put an even thickness of shims on either side of the trailing arm and then had It aligned. Only minor adjustments had to be made durring the alingment so it worked out pretty well.

I agree with Norval but you should get it aligned anyway. We set ours up the same way before we send it to the alignment shop.
