Default KYB Gas-A-Just (High pressure) shocks

Im looking to see how these might rate to Bilstein Sports and maybe againts the KYB GR2 (Low pressure).

Pacin's post inspired this one. Ive been looking at these 3 shocks since last fall before I put the vette up for thewinter. My RR shock was leaking.

Im looking for a shock that is a good balance between ride quality and firmness.

I'd like to hear some input on this too. A couple of months before I decided to go off the far end of over doubling horse power I had bought the high pressure KYB's and now have a 360lb VBP monospring going with them on the back. I would think the monospring would have more effects on transferring weight when it comes to torque than the shocks. Am I wrong?

I've got the KYB's on mine and I like them alot. Not too firm, just right IMO.

I have the F-41 suspension and they were a bit to firm for everyday street use (besides the stiff springs!). I switched to GR-2's and like 'em alot. When I go back to a track setup (suspension upgrades, rolbar, etc.), I'll put the high pressure units back on, or buy some Koni shocks.

I have the KYBs on mine and they are a good shock for the money. They are not harsh at all. In fact I have a 340 lb. TRW fiberglas spring on the rear of mine and it tends to be a little bouncy. I think Vette Brakes has KYB shocks designed for fiberglas springs but I'm not sure if they are the GR2s.

Same here. My car came with the fiberglass spring in it already. The spring was either a 340 or 360 version. I got the KYBs from Vette Brakes and they have a pretty smooth ride. The rear of the car does seem to be a little bouncy sometimes though.
