[OT] This is why you never argue with your girlfriend while driving your Vette!
I posted this in OT, but I know some of you guys don't venture there too often. :D
These photo's were taken in 1970 I believe. The first photo was taken Saturday evening by my father, his '62 Vette w/ 327, 4 spd, and 4.10 gears. The rest was taken Sunday morning....the aftermath. You see my dad was gracious enough to let his little brother take his Vette out on a date w/ his girlfriend. Low and behold they got into a fight, she began to slap the hell of of him and he hit a telephone pole. To make matters worse my dad only had collision, not liability (it was one of his race cars). My uncle and his then girfriend sued my dad's insurance company for damages and promised to pay for the repairs. They recieved $8K (in 1970 mind you) and my uncle as still yet to pay my dad. The stupid braud told my dad basicly "F^&K You" and kept the money. He said "I almost killed that bitch that day!" :lol:

Sounds like your dad was really cool. I don't many people that would let someone else take their vette out on a date.

You have no idea how close to home this story just hit...my brother asked to borrow my vette and I told him I would think about it. Mind you he has been involved in numerous accidents, tickets and one Hit and Run accident. I'm now positive I'll be declining his request!
I'm really sorry about you dad's vette and that his brother never paid him back. Could you imagine what that cat would be worth now? 30-40K maybe, your dad should charge him today's value for the car! Your dad is an incredibly nice guy not to kill his brother! :thumbs:
