Default Converting an automatic to a 4 Speed

I was just thinking about converting my 81 Vette from an Automatic to a 4 speed. I was wondering if any one out there has any advice for me? Any input would be great.

It's not that difficult to do. It's way to long to explain on the forum. If you call my shop tomorrow and talk to Art he can tell you where to get the stuff and how to do it. The number is on our website

I've heard that the worst part is the pedals.:smash: :smash:

I did this swap and the worst part was the pedals. The drivers seat should come out along with the steering column. There are 10 bolts that have to be removed to remove the automatic pedal assembly and then install the standard assembly. Both assemblies are a tight fit so even after removing the bolts you still have to wiggle the pedals in or out.
You are doing all this lying on your back half in the car and half hanging out the door.
Not fun but doable. Installing the transmission was easy in comparison.
