About a week ago, there was a thread on these filters. Since I have been using a paper filter, I was sorta in the market for a new air filter.

I have used K&N before and wanted to get away from the need to spray the filter with oil. So, the Kool Blue was appealing since the Summit Catalog said it was washable and reuseable, but nothing about spraying with oil.

The instructions that came with the Kool Blue state, "Spray the filter lightly with Accel oil Spray and check for an even, light blue color."

Sorta disappointing!

Thanks, I was going to look into the Kool Blue too because I hate the oil spraying. I guess I will save my K&N for a while more. :auto:

Thanks I was also going buy this filter to stay away from the oil spraying.
I've never seen anything in the adds about using oil I would have been a little ticked to find out after I bought it. :nonod:

I may keep it since it is 14X3.5. Haven't decided yet.
