Interesting Ebay listing
The comment about the interior being rare is right.

Interesting description about the interior not being listed in the Black Book. Maybe I'll use that line when I finish my red/black leather interior. Rare red & black interior, so rare it's not even listed in the Black Book!

Re: Interesting Ebay listing (1970 Stingray)
Len--I was looking for my VBP front suspension in the Black Book and couldn't find it either. Could it be.........RARE!!!!!!!!! :smash:
The thing about this ebay item is that the guy is saying the tag has code 421 on it. Wouldn't that be a bit much trouble to forge?

Re: Interesting Ebay listing (Fevre)
The NCRS 1968-1969 Judging Manual lists interior trim code 421 as Saddle Leather. My 68 is British Green with interior code 420 which is Saddle Vinyl, I haven't seen the Saddle interior in very many 68's in the 25 years I have had my 68. :seeya

Re: Interesting Ebay listing (foundvettelifeisgood)
Nice looking car. The hype is a little much. Is anything more suspect than a broker hyping the car as the ultimate investment and endlessly ranting about the rarity of its color combinations. Call me jaded, but I am not impressed by dealers who need to brag about their ethics. I have very little experience in this market but it seems to me the value is more in the quality of the restoration, and features such as the big block/ 4 spd. The interior is more of a point of interest.

Re: Interesting Ebay listing (OHSIXX)
This is not the first '68 I've seen with this combo-if I'm not mistaken, there may be one or two others on the '68 Vette Registry with this same combo. I met a forum member a year or two ago at that Roscoe Village Corvette Cruise-In in Ohio who also had the same Black/Saddle combo. Out of some 400+ Corvettes there, he had the only '68 coupe there, I had the only '68 convertible there

Not sure why, but when I see an identification plate polished up like that, possibly removed and riveted back on, I get skeptical. Some things on a car shouldn't be jacked with.

If the engine has been rebuilt why didn't they paint it when it was unassembled and not paint it in the car. Look at the water pump hose and around the heads. I'd be careful around this one.

Maybe I can pay for it with my ulta rare $19,000 bill, not listed in the US mint directory so image how rare it is. :)
