Default Front susp Rebuild... Cut springs or no?

Pacin California sent me a pair of 460 springs. Im not sure if that will bring my front end down enough.
thats with my stock springs (with a/c) i pulled the a/c out and added an aluminum intake so the nose is not as heavy as it was when i got it. would the 460s lower the car enough without cutting them? or should i break out the die grinder.

if any of you have pics of your car with 460s please post them. I'm also running 215/65/15 tires so that also has an affect on the wheel gap

What you cut off - stays off. I would install the springs first, and then evaluate the height after the suspension components have had a chance to settle in. Then cut them if you are not satisfied.

I just went with the 550 springs from Vette brakes. I never did like the idea of cutting parts of my suspenion off, even though many have done it. That and my dad has a restoration shop and he would never go for that. :D

Try the 460s first. If to high then you can cut. I have the 460s in my car, No AC Aluminum where I can so it is pretty light and my nose is about stock height.

I bet you end up with 3/4 of a coil cut before you like the looks :D

Id try them without cutting them and if you dont like the way it looks then pick up an aftermarket pair that is made to lower the car.

:iagree:

My ride height was way too much to begin with. After the 460's, just right. If I cut a coil, would have been too much.
