Default Engine compartment wiring questions

I don't know why I bought one of these big wiring diagrahms, I can't ever find the answer I am looking for. Here is what I am trying to figure out.

on the firwall to the right of the wiper motor are two relays mounted together on the same bracket. they have the following wiring.

-first one has a light green wire on one connection and a brown or tan and a black going into the other connection.

- Second relay has 2 connections one is dark green and black and the other connection is light green and dark blue

- There is a third 2 wire connection that is not hooked to anything it is orange and brown or tan.

What are these?

I have had a long day, but I am going home to where my books are, so I will look in there to see if I can find any help. Mine's a '72. When you say right side are you saying passenger side? Should be home about 8:15eastern, and if I can con my fiance' off the compiter I will post again. :seeya

Henry,
I appreciate it. I know the feeling. i have to kick my wife off the computer almost every night so I can get in a little forum time. :yesnod: The relays are on the driver side so if you are looking at the firewall from the front they are to the right of the wiper motor.

Theandies,

It is an a\c car.

thanks for any help you guys can give me. Electrical systems are not my strong point. :smash:

Thanks again
Wade

I think you are looking at the resistor and ambient switch for the AC system. If you have a service manual look in the heater ac section for a wiring diagram, mine is on page 1A-66.

The Ambient switch shows a t = tan? and dg= dark green wire with a black ground by passing to blower motor.

The resistor has lg = light green, lbl= lite blue , y yellow, and purple,

The AC relay shows single b=black and 3 way ppl=purple ,or orange, and dbl dark blue

This might not be any help, but it's what I found. :seeya

I believe one of these is only active on Auto cars.
