looking for old parts
Anyone have any junk parts from the rear bearings they want to donate for a school project?
I'm going to make a model of the rear bearings/spindles etc. I need a housing, spindle, bad bearings etc. These will not be used on a car but used for tech discussion had a high school auto class and vette club.
Also would consider differentials, cracked posi's, what ever I could machine in half to show operation.
Thanks,
Gary

Try Gary Watson at this web site. Gary does so many that he might have something laying around you could use. http://corvetteperfection.com/corvetteperfection001.htm

Re: looking for old parts (Big Fish)
Thanks guys, I'll have to check that lead too Big Fish.
Mike if you want to donate that alternator to the shop, let me know. I believe they were going over basic automotive electrical recently.
I have a couple of old rusted out rear T arms that I cut out of my 69 that I POR 15'd so that's a start. Need a housing, broken ears are great, some old worn bearings, undersize spindle, I have some old undersize rotors I can use as well as a rusted parking brake plate and old hardware.
Thanks again,
Gary

Re: looking for old parts (java0881)
Hugo,
Thanks for the offer, but I also have a worn clutch and a box of 1/2 shafts. I even have the original aluminum raditor from the 69, which has more holes in it then swiss cheese.

Gary, would'nt it be just easier if you bought that '65 Corvette off of Al Wiseman in Fl??? It's the '65 Blue Coupe with like 4.2 original miles on it, the body is raised off of the frame & virtually all the mechanics are "cut-aways" :lolg: :lolg: :lolg:

Re: looking for old parts (Paul Borowski)
Hey Paul, yes that would be easier. We saw that at Carlisle and it was impressive. Do you think he would want to donate it to the next generation of C3 mechanics
Gary
PS I'll get you the 75 L-82 info soon. I have been involved in a lot of things this winter but didn't forget your request.
