Fuel gauge problem
After getting my front and rear bumpers painted my fuel gauge has gone past full and is at about 4 o'clock. I suspect that the bodyshop have trapped a wire somewhere at the back end. Has anybody had a similar problem?

Re: Fuel gauge problem (Superv)
The wire to the sending unit probably came undone. The gauge past full indicates an open circuit. Don't remember if your year has the sender on top of the tank or bottom. Look under the rear, on the pass side of the spare wheel. You will see the sending unit if it's on the bottom. If nothing's there it's on top and you can see it by taking the rubber boot off the filler neck.

Thanks buddy.
That was it.... lifted up the rubber and there it was ... a wire had come loose from the sender.
Thanks again
