Default going to look at a 68 BB convertable

I will be going to look at a 68 427/435 HP convertable with my dad soon. As the "proud" owner of a 69 SB coupe, I have a pretty good idea where to look on this car for trouble spots. Owner is asking 26K. I don't know mileage, and have not seen it myself, however, it is reported to be an original engine. Any ideas as to what a "fair" price is for such a car? We will have it put up on a lift to look underneath, etc...

Thanks.

Mark

I guess it it really depends on the quaility on the car, options and if the numbers match. If the car is "perfect" then $26K wouldn't be far off at all. If everything is legit and it's an older restoration I'd say low $20K's. Give us some details or take some pictures if you can.

Sounds fair for a numbers matching "restrored" car with documentation. If it was not very very nice including paint and interior drivetrain I would say that would be too much
