Default lead additive

I was in WalMart the other day and saw "CD2" lead substitute. Has anyone ever tried this? It states on the bottle "For off road use only". I guess I could take the '69 off road sometimes.

I've used it in my '66 Mustang for the last dozen years. I put on about 400 miles per year on it. It now has about 68,000 miles and runs good. I used it "hoping" it was helping as I do not have hardened valve seats in it.

It's good stuff for lubrication purposes. If you're looking for something to also boost octane, there are other products out there that work quite well. I use Max Lead sold by Jack Podell, which has real lead in it. It serves both purposes in my high compression small block.
