I'm about to convert to an electric fuel pump and will be installing an oil pressure switch. I'm sure I can "tee" the normal oil pressure location just behind the intake manifold, but I'd prefer to find another place.

Yes, in fact that is where the TPI engines have the fuel cutoff switch (well, on 3rd gen F-bodies). :)

I feel the top location is much more indicative of the oiling system condition than down at the pump/filter area....so I go up top....just a thought...
might want to check that out, if there is in fact any pressure differances noted...

On my 74 the oil pressure sending unit was mounted above the oil filter. I now have my oil pressure cutoff switch for my electric fuel pump mounted there as well. All works ok.
Gene, Why do you feel that there might be a pressure differential between the 2 locations? I never measured them directly but the filter location seems to give a good reading.
