Start up after two years in pieces
March 1, after 2+ years in pieces I think I am ready to start my 70 vette. I reattached the oil line in the back. Is there any other stupid things that I should double check - triple - before I attempt the start?
I want it to run for 20 minutes or so to break in the new cam.
After that I can start on the rear of the car - new spring and cover!
Seems like there is always something in pieces at any time

Heve you pre-lubed the engine? Have fuel to run for 1/2 hour? Set the timing properly? Good Luck, I bet you're excited!!

When starting a new engine, I always use ether starting fluid so it ignites immediately and builds oil pressure as soon as possible.
